1. Principles of Child centeredness


The whole curriculum should be designed as per the need of children and should be as per age and mental ability of child.


2. Principle of comprehensive of curriculum


The curriculum must have the necessary details. List of topics to be covered does not solve the purpose.

Both teachers and students should know clearly what is expected of them, how to begin and how and where to end the topic for the particular class. The Material aids, activities, life situations etc. all should be listed in the curriculum.


3. Principle of Activity/Practical Centeredness

As we all know that child best learn by active based learning so curriculum should be designed on the basis of activity and practical based. NCF 2005 also state that experiential mode of learning should be adapted in school environment.


4. Principle of Variety


Curriculum should have varieties so that each and every students can study to fulfil their aims and objectives.


5. Principle of environment centeredness

Curriculum should be designed to raise awareness for the conservation of the environment.

To study importance and also include the conservation of environment in school environment.


6. Principle of Conservation


Curriculum should also include the conservation awareness about all the necessary sources present in the world and we should encourage the students to learn about this from very basic level.


7. Principle of Creativity

Curriculum should also enhance the creativity in children related to every field


8. Principle of Forward Looking


Curriculum should be philosophical and should be designed as per future and should be forward looking to meet the need of society, education, etc. in future


9. Principle of Flexibility


Curriculum should be flexible and should be dynamic and changed as per need and time.

Curriculum should flexible and can be modified as per children individuals differences. The curriculum must be flexible enough to address the needs as aspirations of the society.

10. Principle of Balance


Curriculum should be designed in this way that it can balance all the aspects of students like philosophical, psychological, sociological, scientific, etc.


11. Principle of Utility


Only those subjects, activities, should be included which are important for students and have some utilisation future.


12. Principle of Correlation


The subject should be correlated and interlinked so that students can apply the knowledge in other subjects also.
